Project Profile

The ADVANTAGE® Revenue is a comprehensive Tax accounting product developed to cater to different requirements of various state and federal government agencies in US. The product handles personal income tax, corporate tax, and sales tax to name a few.



The challenge was to reengineer and enhance the existing PowerBuilder based client server version of this application, keeping in mind unique requirements of State of Wisconsin. Prescient developed key modules at their dedicated offshore development facility in India and also provided onsite consultancy by deploying a large team of dedicated consultants in achieving the aggressive deadline.

The first release of ADVANTAGE revenue was delivered on schedule due to marathon effort put in by offshore and onsite team. Some of the important modules of the systems developed are

•	Taxpayer Identification (TI)
•	Returns Processing (RP)
•	Taxpayer Accounting (TA)
•	Refunds and External Offsets (REO)
•	Revenue Accounting (RA)
•	Correspondence, Notes, and Letters (CNL)
•	Workflow (WF)

Prescient's Involvement

Prescient was involved in design and development of core returns processing engine along with Quality Assurance and Testing. A large team of Prescient consultants are involved in Onsite-Offshore co-ordination during development, Implementation and maintenance.
